Senior Software Engineer (Specializations: Audio, Systems, Dev-Ops) - KO_OP

We're looking to hire a full-time Senior Software Engineer to join us remotely in Montreal and eventually on-site in our downtown office. The position requires 30-33 hours work a week. The position has a yearly salary of 55,000$ and includes 5 weeks vacation, unlimited sick days, and health, life, and disability benefits.


  • Oversee the high-level technical architecture of our projects, building and implementing processes that match our workflow and needs
  • Develop high-performance realtime systems for generating and playing audio
  • Work closely with the programming team and audio team to create a scalable and iterative workflow
  • Work in the Unity engine on core gameplay components, with a particular focus on on rhythmic audio gameplay / synchronized visual effects
  • Help solve technical challenges when needed, whether on the game itself or for data and tools development
  • Develop low-level native audio plugins in C++


  • Professional experience with audio programming, digital signal processing and audio filtering
  • Professional experience with dev-ops and backend development thereof
  • Someone comfortable joining a mid-stage project and navigating technical debt
  • Someone who has shipped a console title
  • Proficiency in C#, C++, Unity

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with modern server technologies
  • Experience with Jira, Slack, Notion
  • Design experience, particularly for UI/UX
  • Musical ability
  • Experience with DAWs (Ableton, Logic Pro X)
